Welcome to the MOA Programme: Management of OsteoArthritisThis programme of research investigates the Management of Osteoarthritis (MOA) at the interface between primary care and secondary care, with an emphasis on the contribution of non-pharmacological, non-surgical interventions; primarily exercise physiotherapy and manual physiotherapy. The MOA programme of research incorporates a range of research methodologies, centred around health technology assessment (HTA). HTA is a multi-disciplinary field of research that examines the health and economic implications of medical interventions. HTA bridges clinical epidemiology, medical decision-making and health economics, supporting management, clinical, and policy decisions. |
